Besides 4 year program, we also offer short term visiting programs at HKUST.
Undergraduates (international or local) from institutions outside Hong Kong may apply to study at HKUST as Undergraduate Visiting Students (UG Visiting Students) or Undergraduate Visiting Internship Students (UG Visiting Interns). In both visiting programs, students register as full-time students of HKUST; however, students who study in the two categories come for different lengths of time and for different purposes, as described below.
UG Visiting Students usually come for one semester. While at HKUST, they may enroll in courses pertaining to their admission offer.
UG Visiting Interns, on the other hand, are students who wish to come to HKUST to fulfill directed research or internship assignments. These assignments are usually part of their normal program of study at their home institutions. As a full-time student of HKUST, each UG Visiting Intern would enroll in a special one-credit project course. They would neither be allowed to register for any other courses nor enroll in any specific programs.
